Wowza Streaming Engine 4.11.3 release notes | Wowza Docs & APIs
Version: Wowza Streaming Engine 4.11.3+11 build 20260812174529, released August 13, 2026.
Improvements
- WebRTC TURN relay server now supports TCP and TLS. Previously TURN relay support was limited to UDP only - users can now deliver WebRTC on networks that block outbound UDP (for example, a corporate or campus network). See the WebRTC implementation guide for configuration instructions.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a WebRTC bug where sessions using the server’s configured TURN relay failed to start - the ICE connection was established but the DTLS handshake timed out, so no audio or video flowed.
- Fixed a WebRTC bug in which DTLS handshakes failed to terminate when the remote peer disconnected mid-handshake, consuming excessive CPU resources. Now, when the peer goes silent, the DTLS handshake aborts gracefully and logs the error.
- Fixed a WebRTC bug causing desynchronization of audio timestamps, resulting in audio discontinuity and downstream errors.
- Fixed a bug in which rapid creation and teardown of WSE transcoder sessions crashed the server.
- Fixed a bug in NVIDIA GPU driver version detection on Linux that caused GPU-accelerated transcoding to silently fall back to software when the driver version had only two components (e.g., 595.84).
- Resolved MPEG-DASH live stream packetizer memory leaks.
