How to re-stream HLS ?

Hello everyone,

I can re-stream rtmp from another server well, but i can’t do it with http (HLS) . Do i have to use Transcoder AddOn in this case? Video Transcoding Live Application works well!

Many thanks,

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

I am not sure what you are trying to do here, but you can take a look at this guide:

How to re-stream an unprotected stream from Adobe Media Server or a CDN

NOTE: HTTP ingress is only supported for ShoutCast streams, the guide I linked to is limited to re-streaming the RTMP stream.

If this does not answer your question, could you please provide more detail about your particular use case?

Thank you,

Salvadore

Hi,

Input Format Supported

HTTP/HTTPS // this is what i need

Wowza Streaming Engine does not support ingesting A/V streams using the HTTP or HTTPS protocol,

so HLS input won’t work.

Salvadore, thank for your answer. I mean, I can re-stream rtmp, rtsp, udp to HLS or something like this and can’t do it with HLS.
