Wowza Java Process eating up whole server memory

Hello Forum,

I have a very strange problem that i came across. Whenever i start wowza the java.exe process starts up. It runs and its ok. But after few days when i look at this process the physical memory used by the java process increases. And if i leave the process running as it is, it eats up the whole memory of my windows server 2008 which is 8GB, so makes my server to restart. How can i fix this problem. Please help me out.

Are you running any custom modules? See here for suggestions on submitting a support request. For example, which Wowza version?

To control how much RAM the java process uses you can set the max heap size. Follow the tuning guide.

Try the different garbage collection settings.

If that doesn’t fix it, you can check for a memory leak.
