Hi all
When I play rtmp://localhost/vod/mp4:mytest.mp4 with mplayer, both in ubuntu 12.04 and CentOS 6.3, mplayer will be stalled, and ffplay works fine.
But when I use Red5, both mplayer and ffplayer work fine, do you think it’s a bug in mplayer or in Wowza?
BTW, mplayer could play rtmp://localhost/vod/mp4:sample.mp4 and rtsp://localhost:1935/vod/mp4:mytest.mp4.

I think its more likely an issue with the content itself.
You can bring up the codec information for the content by typing:
ffmpeg -i mytest.mp4

Looking at the specs found here,
https://www.wowza.com/media-server#specifications
Wowza cant play ac3 audio.
I can only assume that’s why the the player crashes when using Wowza to play mytest.mp4.

Please note that mplayer could play rtsp://localhost:1935/vod/mp4:mytest.mp4 without any sound.
