Error: "The Media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported"

Hi,
in all my Live Streams I have the problem, that, during setting up the “Playback” Option I get the Error: “The Media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. This Error is displayed on the top border in the player preview”

The Error is occurring during the setup, after I uploaded a Video Poster Image and when I embed the player code into our websites (HTML5 Player). When I open the corresponding “Hosted Page” of the stream the Error Message is changing to “Stream Unavailable”. When using the Wowza Player, The Player Preview in the Playback Option of the Stream Setup looks nice and the hosted Page too.

As I just started using Wowza Cloud it might be a problem of understandiing on my side. I Thought, people see the Video Poster Image until the stream starts, after starring my stream into the cloud the Video Poster Image will change to the live stream?

You are correct that you can have an image that displays before and after the stream. Have you made sure your stream meets this requirement since it’s saying format not supported?

Poster images must be GIF, JPEG, or PNG format and no larger than 2.5 MB.

We can’t determine why it’s not working in your embed code without a support ticket, so you will need to submit one to Wowza.
