Wowza media systems logo coming on transcoded video

How will i remove wowa media systems logo coming in transcoded video , we are not using trial , Overlay is also disabled still its coming for trnascoded 360p and 720p video .

Nope, I confirmed. No throttle for performance in our trial license. However, we do all suspect this is a hardware and capacity issue. Feel free to have us take a look in a support ticket, We can try to run your streams on our end and see if we have any issues with dropped frames. If we do, then we may be able to identify it’s a config issue instead of a capacity or bandwidth limitation.

Hey @Scott Hooten that should not be there in a production license so you are correct that something is still enabled somehow in your transcoder. I asked tech support and they suggest checking to make sure you are not running this on an old license key that was a trial. Check your server.license file and see what is has there.

Also, check your logs that you are actually running this in production mode and not demo mode. It will show you something like this if it’s demo mode and you’ll see the watermark as YES.

Yes Scott, the Developer Engine license is a 180 day trial for testing and has the watermark. You would need a paid license to stream in production without the watermark.

Please see trial limitations here:

“Supports the Transcoder feature, but add watermarks to content processed by the Transcoder.”

Since we are developing an app to broadcast to the server, we are currently using the developer license. Is the developer edition “crippled” or running less able than the normal production version?

Yes, but no performance differences, correct? (except for “3 inbound and 10 outbound connections”. Currently our installation of wowza streaming engine is taking 60% cpu just to transcode one 720p stream, and its making choppy video (dropping frames) so i thought maybe there was a performance throttle for developer license (to encourage people to upgrade)

Good morning @Scott Hooten. One more comment for you from our engineers: “We are working on a new transcoder which will have vastly lower CPU requirements. In the meantime, you can also look into using a nvidia video card to transcode.”
