Hi, i’m trying to setup live streaming with Wowza 4.2 and JwPlayer 6.12
With desktop there isn’t problem, but with mobile devices such as Android and iPhone, I can not hear the audio.
Please, can you help me to understand how to solve this problem? Thanks
Regards,
Francesco
Hello, can you please provide the details of the stream?
i.e. audio/video codecs, profile setting, fps and GOP length.
Thank you.
Salvadore
G.711 is only supported in Wowza by the Transcoder for decode. The transcoded streams will have AAC audio.
With “G711 µ-law” (which VLC shows as “PCM MU-LAW (mlaw)”), the audio is passed through to Flash clients, which is why it works with JWPlayer on the desktop. But is not supported by iOS or Android.
How to set up and run Wowza Transcoder for live streaming

Great news! Thanks for the update,
Unfortunately there is no way of doing this on a Windows phone, which I’m aware of. Most customers are developing or utilizing custom apps to accomplish this.
You may find the links below as useful to you for your streams:
Player Framework for Windows 8 and WP8
Player Framework: an open source media player framework for Windows and Windows Phone
