Wowza does not open Multicast udp stream, but VLC does. No Error in log, How can we get it working?

I have several Multicast streams on the network, all of which I can open in VLC by adresses like:

udp://@239.239.1.50:4900

When i create a Stream File with this URL (with or without the @) and connect to stream, Wowza states that the stream is active, but nothing seems to be working.

Recording the stream through Wowza Streaming Engine Manager, gives the message ‘Waiting for stream’ and a .mp4 file of 160 bytes is created.

There is only one network card in the server, though I have added the server IP in both the vHost and Application files for multicast as suggested here ( https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-listen-for-a-multicast-stream-on-a-particular-network-interface ).

There is nothing in Error log, and the Access log is below:

What can be the problem?, and how can I get the Wowza server to record the stream?(using WowzaStreamingEngine-4.7.8)

Found issue, got this working.

Looking the wowza log and seeing that ffmpeg and VLC seems fine, I played around with the Firewall. I found that allowing the Wowza service (nssm_x64.exe) UDP connections did nothing. But allowing the java.exe under (Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Streaming Engine 4.7.8\jre\bin) directory UDP connections did the trick.

Now this does however make me concerned about security. I’m not so happy to let a generic ‘runtime java system’ network access. How secure does Wowza think this is?
