Wowza 3 & mpeg2 input streams

Hi, actually i have a question about how decode streams… because:

INFO server comment - LiveStreamPacketizerCupertino.handlePacket[live/_definst_/mpegts.stream]: Video codec:MPEG2 isCompatible:false
INFO server comment - LiveStreamPacketizerCupertino.handlePacket[live/_definst_/mpegts.stream]: Audio codec:MP3 isCompatible:true

and

WARN server comment - RTPPlayer.describe: No video packetizer[11]: MPEG2

This trial version have only h264 in/out codecs and audio - or normal license have all codecs?

I need to know to test, and to decide - buy it or not

Thank you before, for any answer.

P.S.i`ve see there some wms jars, but no mpeg2 proper jar

MPEG2 is not supported for streaming. It is supported for decode by the Wowza Transcoder

https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-set-up-and-run-wowza-transcoder-for-live-streaming

Richard

You can use “PassThru” for the /Encode /Video /Codec

Richard

ok, thank for answer - but, when i send to wowzs h264 - it all time doing transcode from 264 to 264 - i saw it on cpu and proccesses. How to deactivate it at all?

thanks about any answer

i think we will buy hardware transcoders and going on h264 at all.

Hi,

Is there any plane to add MPEG 2 streaming with Wowza?

is it possible to “passThru” MPEG 2 in current version?
