System Requirements for Graphics Card

Hello,

I was review several Wowza articles with system requirements, among which

but not found specific advices by graphics card GeForce GTXs (middle-price class).

As I understand Wowza may uses Graphics card powers only for transcoding features. And for this involve NVENC features in NVIDIA Graphic Cards.

I found also article:

There is defenition for Familes and Chips, which apparently are similar for Cards GeForce series.

Okay, essence of the question: We building for our TV-station MediaServer (DIY rack-like pc) for retranslate streams and to othrers tv-operators, and sometimes transcode our source TV-channel in another quality for also retranslete to anothers operators.

And I think is there a difference for Wowza use, ex, GTX 1080Ti or GTX 1050? This is all 10-serie cards and there supports NVENC. But in price difference we will be noticable.

Do you have any advice in our case?

And anyway, are there any recommendations from Wowza on the use of medium-price cards (aka GeForce), but non-Quadro.

Consumer grade cards are limited to two live streams by Nvidia. We have no control over that. If you plan on converting more than one two live streams at a time then you will need to move to their professional grade GPUs.

Ex. NVIDIA Tesla K20c is considered as a professional grade GPU. And Wowza supports it?
