Streaming WAV Files?

Can Wowza stream WAV PCM files? If not, how can I get around this?

You would have to transcode to AAC in a quicktime container (.mp4,.mov, etc) or MP3 in a mp3 or quicktime container.

Because wav files are not supported in Flash or other clients that Wowza streams to.

Ok, I’ve been trying this now in FFMPEG and it’s working fine. But out of interest why can’t Wowza stream WAV files?
