Can I use the Transcoder API to convert FLV to WAV or MP3?

Hello,

We are publishing audio recordings from a flash player to a wowza server. The published audio recording is by default saved as FLV (SPEEX). Is there a way to have the recording saved as WAV/MP3? Or probably use the Transcoder API to convert the saved FLV to WAV/MP3 right after the publishing is done?

Thank you.

No need to duplicate

I don’t think so, not that I can help with anyway.

Sorry, but I don’t think the other post is a duplicate. I’m copying your reply from the other thread to this thread. I think your answer to the other thread is more appropriate here.

You can use the Wowza Transcoder to transcode the audio to AAC. Take a look at this guide

So, Wowza Transcoder only supports AAC. So it cannot write to WAV/MP3.

Is there a way for me to extend Transcoder classes so I can write to WAV/MP3?

No problem, thanks anyway.
