Hello, I am new here so please forgive me if I leave something out as far as details. I have also searched the forums to see if I could find already given answer or solution but couldn’t find one.
Here is my setup and some history. We are running Wirecast on a PC machine that we have used for 4 years for streaming and have always used a streaming company such as Sunday Streams/Media Serve/Bright Cove Etc. But have recently wanted to get going with our own BYOL Wowza stream through an Amazon EC2 instance. I have already set up the Amazon instance and successfully got a stream going with the guides available on Wowzas forum. I am streaming an h.264 through Wirecast at 4MB Up with a 10MB Uplink speed Cable connection. This has always worked really well through Steaming services before.
I am obviously wanting to use the Transcoder(transrate) to break that into multiple bit rates for users. I have successfully set up my transrate and smil file by following this tutorial: https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-set-up-and-run-wowza-transcoder-for-live-streaming
Its all working an on the backend of Wowza through the “Test Players” it looks really good though I think its just playing the source on the “Test Players”.
The problem is that the stream on JWplayer is very glitchy with constant freezing and stuttering and pausing even when on a 100MB download speed connection. I have tested on several devices including my iPhone and other computers.
Here is the URL for the stream and I have a video playing through Wirecast now for your testing. Please help!

Thanks guys! I figured out my SIMPLE problem!! Because I used the Tutorial , which instructed me to select the m3.large EC2 instance, it wasn’t enough and the CPU was maxed out at 100% therefore it was choppy streaming. I selected the c4.2xlarge and its working great!
Thanks for the update and glad to hear you got this sorted.
