rtsp live broadcast not working on android native player

Hi

what could it be?

wowza:

Wowza Media Server 3 Monthly Edition 3.6.3 build8031

android:

Samsung Galaxy S Duos running android 4.0.4

Thank you.

Hi,

What is the audio codec? If you turn on cupertinostreamingpacketizer in the Application.xml /Streams /LiveStreamPacketizers, then publish the stream, Wowza will show much detail about the audio and video codecs in the access log, and the first 10 chunks. What does that show?

What playback client are you testing with? Try the RTMP client if you haven’t.

Hi there, what is the audio codec? MP3 or AAC?

Android devices do not support MP3 audio over RTSP/RTP in any combination (audio/video or audio only). Android devices that support Flash player 10.1 can play MP3 using RTMP or Adobe HDS.

Please see this guide for more help troubleshooting:

the customer is using mp3, so you say to use the AAC encoder? we will try that and update the forum thread.

Thank you.
