periscope producer and stream targets

periscope producer finally allows you rtmp access there key is set up as follows: rtmp://ca.pscp.tv/x/1/KEYXXXXXXXXX

since it has 2 items for the “app” after the .tv how do i split that up on the rtmp targeting page? I think i have tried nearly every combination and none seem to work?

I was looking around for any information from Periscope on this, and found this document:

https://www.periscope.tv/help/external-encoders

They have details on how to setup OBS, but not other services. They also do not seem to list Wowza as a supported source Encoder or Service.

Hi anyone!

I solved this problem, it is easy )

  1. Create new transcoder like this and remeber Stream name. Periscope recommends transcode settings https://www.periscope.tv/help/external-encoders

  2. Add new Stream Target in your Wowza application

  3. Enable created on step 1 transcoder for Wowza application like this and restart application

  4. Paste fields from periscope in this format

  5. Check Periscope and push “Go Live” button.
