Is this something that is coming or is it just around the corner?

This has been added to the backlog as a feature request, which means that it will be considered for future versions of Wowza Streaming Engine but there are no current timescales for it’s release should it get approval for development.

nDVR for MPEG-DASH is now supported in Wowza Streaming Engine. Please ensure you have installed the latest release or applied the latest update.

I jumped the gun on this one. We have been working on integrating DVR with MPEG-DASH, but it is not publicly available at this time.
As always, please keep an eye on our software updates page where we will announce new features, though I can’t say if or when DVR for MPEG-DASH will be made available.
