Greetings
I’m completely new to Wowza video and I’m looking at the settings. I found a setting named “Current maximum viewers” and it says the limit is 300.
Does that mean no more that 300 people can see the HLS at the same time? or is it just RTMP?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Maximum viewers only apply when using Direct Playback URLs, which you likely found in the transcoder settings. This would include RTMP, RTSP, WebRTC and direct Apple HLS playback.
When accessing content through the standard playback URLs (cdn3.wowza.com) will always be virtually unlimited.
Thanks for your answer.
So using the embedded player doesn"t have this limit, am I correct?
Regards
Correct. The embedded player is mapped to the CDN playback URL. You’re good.
