Looking for a web-based Encoder software for Linux

Hi,

We are currently using Adobe Media Encode video in a desktop PC before uploading the media files to the Wowza server.

However, it is quite time consuming for our technical team to encode videos for our colleagues. We are looking for a web-based encoder that allows users to upload and encode the media files to the Wowza server by themselves (The encoder can be installed at the same server as the Wowza server). The encoder should be with an user-interface so that users without technical knowledge can use it easily.

I tried to search these kind of software for some time in the Google. It seems no freeware is found. Can anyone help? Thanks so much for your greatest advice and help.

Hi Gavin,

You would probably want to look for a ffmpeg web GUI.

I did a quick search and found a PHP script that seems to offer rather simple UI. You may need to build on it to get it to fit your desired workflow.

Hope this helps.
