Live streaming error. Status idle in ios

I am new to Wowza and streaming.

I am trying to get the Swift sample app to stream to the Wowza could platform.

I run the app on a device, start the stream on the cloud, fill in the server settings on the app, and click the red broadcast button. I get an error “Live streaming error. Status idle. an error occurred when trying to connect to host rasp… (code=15)”

What are the common reasons you would get this error?

Ankit,

The issue you are seeing would be best handled as a support request so that the Developer Support team can review your GoCoder SDK compiled sample app.

If you have not already, please log a support ticket via the web portal.

Mac

Hi @ankit patel, & @Mac Hill,

Was there ever an answer for Ankit’s question? I’m having the same issue.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,

Was anyone able to resolve this issue?
I’m facing the exact same issue with the Swift sample app provided on the GitHub repo.

Thanks in advance,

Hello all,

Anyone have solved this issue?

I’m facing the exact same issue after check wowza Streaming State using rest API.

Nirav

Even I have the same problem … please give the solution for this

A very common reason people get this error is because they are:

  1. Not listing the host info correctly (please see #1). You can also enter the IP address.

AND/OR

  1. Not properly splitting up the application name from the connection settings, thus entering it incorrectly in the GoCoder SDK file.

The application name is at the end of the url in cloud: listed in the screenshot as #2.

Make sure you enter the application name like this now in the SDK. Again, this is at the end of your primary server in the Cloud connection info. ( See image in post above- #2).

Thank you for the answer , Its working fine now I have a small question to you, We have a microscope for dental treatments , how do I stream the microscope video to cloud… please provide me the solution for this.
