Installing in user directory

Am I missing something here?

[wowza@iapetus csr]$ ./WowzaStreamingEngine-4.4.1-linux-x64-installer.run --prefix /home/wowza/csr
Wowza Streaming Engine Setup - Error: There has been an error.
The directory
/usr/local/WowzaStreamingEngine-4.4.1
does not exist

I’m trying to install in a local directory so why is it complaining about a missing directory in /usr/local ?

I just worked around it by installing on another machine where I have sudo access, and then copying the installation over. There were a few paths that needed to be fixed up in the bin directory, but otherwise wowza started without any obvious problems.
