How to play live streaming in the HTML5 for Android?

Hello

I have successfully RTSP, SDP, through a web link to allow Android to play live streaming, but whether using HTML5. Especially in the Android 2.x does not support Apple HLS.

And the Android the HTML5 does not seem to support the SDP

Thank you

The only browser I know of that supports live streaming with H.264/AAC is Safari on iOS.

But, things are always chaning. Let me know if you find an example of Android supporting these codecs. I’ve seen WebM/Ogg progressive download, which can be done from your webserver.

Richard, what about the “draft” http live protocol?

Is it something wowza might support someday?

It is my understanding that some Android 3 models support HLS, but reports are mixed.

Android 2.2+ supports Flash 10.1+ so you can do RTMP or sanjosestreaming. But reports are mixed there too.

Seems like RTSP is the best way to reach Android still.

Richard

Sorry, “mixed” means inconsistent, it doesn’t always work, not dependable – according to reports.

Richard

That is referring to HLS (cupertino) streaming, which Wowza does support. Android seems to be going in that direction but we have seen mixed reports and there are many Android devices in use that do not support it.

Richard

Thank Randall’s help

Also I ask, Richard, “mixed” mean? Can you tell us the details?

Thank you
