Hi,
Is there a way to enable username/password authentication for RTP publishing ?
Thanks.
Hello,
You can enable source security for RTSP sources:
https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-enable-username-password-authentication-for-rtmp-and-rtsp-publishing#rtsp
If you could provide further information on your source encoder (make/model), we might be able to investigate further.
Best regards,
Andrew
Hello,
I am publishing using RTP alone. I am not using RTSP.
Thanks.
Hi Kiran,
Wowza Streaming Engine doesn’t support RTP authentication. If your encoder supports RTSP, you might want to look into that as an option instead.
Otherwise, if you could provide information on your encoder (make/model) I can look into the details of your encoder and create a feature request based on this information.
Best regards,
Andrew
Hey Andrew
Is it possible to do this for an IP-Camera that sends Stream to wowza Streaming Engine?
For now, i have a streamfile for the ip-camera. The url of the streamfile inclueds the username and password of the camera. Is there any way to avoid putting the username and password in this url and put somewhere else?
@Kiran_Patil and also I am not using RSTP.
