Hello,

We broadcast live 24/7 and sometimes our encoders get in a mess and need a reboot. When this happens the clients are disconnected from the streams and have to refresh to connect back.

Is it possible to setup wowza server to display a still image when the incoming video is lost? i.e. still send out a video stream, but the video stream would simply be an image?

A bit like the http://robertianhawdon.me.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/bbc-f1997.jpg BBC image when they went off air?

Hi,

This is possible however it will need to be another audio/video file.

Please see our Loop Untill Live Module for more information and configuration details.

The looping video file will be viewed when the live source is not present.

Some players may crash when the switch occurs, to reduce the risk of this happening ensure that the looping video file encoding and the live source encoding are as close possible.
