Does Wowza Player work on Safari on a MAC?

I am using:

“SourceURL”:“http%3A%2F%2F123.456.7.89%3A1935%2Fdira%2Fdirb%2FName%2Fplaylist.m3u8”

It plays on all other browsers - why not Safari?

It should work in Safari. Can you post the browser console log from developer tools for review.

Also please try the sample.mp4 that comes with Wowza Streaming Engine to see if you get the same results:
