I am currently trying to configure the Wowza Streaming Engine to stream MP4 files according to the following document.

Step 4 of this document says “your VOD asset to play as a live stream”, what exactly do I need to configure and how?

I’d be happy to teach you. The article you reference is how to do that in the xml and Step 4 is actually referring to all the steps above it that set up the mp4 as live, but I have a different way for you to do this and I made a tutorial on it with full step-by-step demo here:
