WSE fails after update to 4.7.3 build21257

Good day

I updated WSE from 4.6 to 4.7.3 build21257 and WSE began to fail several times. From nothing WSE stops and I have to restart in order to get to work.

Some times WSE keep running for 24h, other just 60 minutes.

I sent a ticket support using Wowza Account Portal, but didnt receive the usual automatic response from wowza support, thats why , I decided to post my problem here as well.

Thanks in advance for your comments

There is actually a slightly higher version, 4.7.3.01 (build 21295).

This new version has been stable on our AMD64 platform, though I have had the manager service crash once - easily solved by restarting just the manager. The actual WSE was unaffected. If it crashes again I’ll investigate.

I recommend upgrading to this slightly higher version and trying again.

Thanks for your reply.

My wse was up and running 15 days. Today wse stopped again. I will try to update wse version and use version suggested in order to see if that solve problems.

I’m seeing the same exact thing. I had WSE 4.7.2 up and running and it was stable. Updated all my wowza servers to 4.7.3.01 and all of my ingest servers are randomly crashing. I just rolled back my updates. We’ll see if that helps.

Ed

Thanks Ed. Looks like Wowza came out with 4.7.4. I wonder if that includes the patch / fix to these issues.
