Wowza upgrade

Hi I want to ask what is proper way to update/upgrade wowza.

I am running wowza 4.7.1 and I wanto to update to latest version. What I found that I shoud

backup my conf, lib, app .conf …

stop and remove wowza

install wowza and restore files

My question is if new installation does not count as new instance and I will have to pay the monthly license.

Hi @Peter Bednar, installing a new version should not trigger another instance to be billed unless there are (2) server instances running with the same license key at the same time.

If you have any trouble working through the version update, you can put in a support ticket for assistance. I hope that helps.
