I use an “http://://<name.stream>/playlist.m3u8” URL, and if I enable console logging I see it performing…
wowzaplayer.js:20 GET https://://<name.stream>/playlist.m3u8 net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
It fails to play because it can’t negotiate the TLS/SSL.
Is there a way to not use HTTPS?
Can you please confirm if this is for Cloud or Engine so I may send the correct instructions?
Not sure what that question means. I’m streaming live cameras from a Wowza server. I have a web site that serves up pages with the Wowza player embedded. Neither the web site or the Wowza server are delivering info over SSL/TLS.
I’ll add that if I use video.js it works fine.
I need to edit the above comment. I have a web site with other players embedded (VLC, video.js, jwplayer, Flowplayer). I used the Wowza Player Builder to test the Wowza player and it changed my HTTP URL into HTTPS as shown in the initial post.
Have same question.
I use Wowza Engine and try to test Wowza player.
It’s not work, and I found the Url is forcing to https.
