Wowza nDVR conversion stopping randomly

Hello,

We are using nDVR to record our live streams and then we are converting them to MP4 using Manage live-to-VOD nDVR stores. We are using WSE 4.9.5.

Sometimes when we start the conversion it randomly stops and the DVR store status becomes “STOPPED“ instead of “RUNNING” or “SUCCESSFUL”. The output file has a “.partial” suffix in its name (39045982.0.partial.mp4, 39045982.0 is the DVR store name) in this case.

Restarting the conversion usually helps and after couple of tries it’s always successful.

What could be causing the DVR store conversion to silently and randomly stop? There is no mention of anything related to DVR in logs.

To fix it, please enable debug logging using the parameter dvrConverterDebugConversions=true, reproduce the failure, and then open a support ticket with the new log files for further investigation.
