Wowza Mediacache support for https

Hi,

I am using http within mediacache to access my origin server. HTTP works great. In our production configuration we are not allowed to use http, all access to the origin server must be done using https. If I use:

https://myserver.myhost.com/

it does not work.

Is https supported by mediacache?

I found this thread from 2012 which says that https is not supported by mediacache. Has anything changed now?

Hi,

Media Cache still does not support https. The reason is that there is too much overhead when using https that adds a lot of latency.
