Wowza Media Server 3 - radio streaming

Hi,

Is it possible to use Wowza Media Server 3 to re-stream/transcode a internet radio which is locate on a http URL? When I’m doing a Video session I have an encoder pushing the stream to wowza, this time I want Wowza to grab the stream from a remote URL and publish it.

It won’t work then, not directly. Take a look at this VLC transcoding guide, try substituting the RTSP input in one of the examples with your stream:

Richard,

I’ve tried this approach before, but i couldn’t get it working. The source I’m trying to play is not SHOUTcast neither Icecast. The extension is *.asx, maybe it’s not supported. Is there anyother approach I can test?
