I have Wowza 3.6.4 and IP camera H.265. I can’t get video out. I have read several posts on this subject but all are related to Wowza 4.x.
Greetings
We’ve been using Wowza Streaming Engine for a while to broadcast keyframe-aligned streams using HLS adaptive streaming. These streams are created by an ffmpeg process at a separate host, encoding in H.264 and AAC. As our target players are now capable of decoding HEVC/H.265 streams, we intend now to migrate to this codec.
We are capable of generating such H.265 streams from ffmpeg, sending them to Wowza over RTSP, and they correctly appear as incoming streams with the desired bitrate…
and of course a lot of posts related to version 3.x but where is no solution.
Has anyone managed to solve this problem?
With Wowza I use the JW Player.
I would ask answer as soon as possible and guidelines for a solution if there is any.
I received a response from the technical service on e-mail:
Hi Gordan,
Support for version h.265 was only added in version 4 of our product. Do try creating a trial instance with the latest version and test with this instead.
