Why do some mpeg dash segments have double the normal duration?

I am streaming from OBS Studio to Wowza Streaming Engine with a keyframe interval of 8 seconds, and I noticed that some of the segments in the dash manifest have a duration of 16 seconds, while most are 8 seconds. I want to understand why 16-second segments are created, rather than two 8-second segments. This happens on both live and on-demand streams.

We would not recommend a keyframe of 8 seconds and suggest you always do 4 seconds or lower. Can you try to make that adjustment and see if that fixes things?
