We have a recent problem that I can’t quite figure out what the solution. It’s recent despite not changing anything on the Wowza side for a while now. Essentially when somebody publishes a stream to the server and then disconnects, Wowza keeps that stream in memory and despite having the checkbox for “reject duplicate streams” unchecked, Wowza denies the ability to reconnect back up and publish with the same name.
Does anybody know why Wowza won’t let go of the first stream object? In the streaming manager it’s obvious the stream is dead with 0 bytes of traffic happening.
