VOD not working

I installed Wowza on Ubuntu in Vmware but I can’t play the test video at all. I tried playing it using a firefox browser within the ubuntu vmware and also tried from the host OS (Windows). The Adobe RTMP, Adobe HDS and MS Smooth player launched successfully but nothing stream. I attach the screenshot here. Please can anyone tell me why it’s not streaming. When I clicked start, it only shows current bitrate = 0kbps and no video shows up.

Thanks.

Do you see any clues as to what this issue may be in the logs?

Also, it may be that you need to white list your IP address as per this guide:

How to connect to remote Streaming Engine installations (whitelist)

Salvadore

Wowza now requires ports 8086-8088 for administration and to support the REST API, which is the link between Wowza Streaming Engine and the GUI. Make sure you have these ports available on the host. As a reference:

Quick Start Guide/Configuring streaming ports

Also, make sure no other program is running on these ports.

You may need to forward port 1935 to the server running Wowza. You can look up your router here:
