Hi,
I’ve tested the video publish/playback in Safari using Wowza examples and found out that video playback freezes after ~30-60 seconds.
The same glitches occur in the recorded video (using record all incoming streams) so the problem is definitely related to publishing.
The Activity Monitor shows ~100-150% CPU usage for WebRTC publishing tab.
Does anyone know how to fix it or any workarounds?
Hi Max - Welcome to the Wowza community!
What version of Safari and Wowza Streaming Engine are you using?
WIth a CPU usage of 100-150%, are you by chance transcoding the stream in Wowza and maybe the server doesn’t have enough power? #justaguess
Safari Version 13.1 (15609.1.20.111.8)
Wowza Streaming Engine 4 Perpetual Pro Edition 4.8.5 build20200616153358
Transcoding is not enabled.
I just installed wowza and added a keystore, so no additional settings were added.
Wowza server has a normal CPU load. A high CPU load occurs only on the client and only with Safari.
