Transcoding live stream, no video just audio

Hi,

I have a flash live stream application, from browser.

I wanted to transcode/transrate this incomming stream to a different platform (iOS AIR/Android AIR).

I try to transcode the incomming stream to h236, and h264 to, but if I test with TestPlayer, I got just the audio, and the screen is black.

The incomming stream section, if i click the stream name (for example myStream_test) I can see

Network Throughput

Bytes In: 1173666 @ 87.810 Kbits/s

Bytes Out: 166725 @ 105.580 Kbits/s

So there is no video, just audio.

Why?

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

It sounds like you are sending Sorenson Spark video to the Transcoder from your Flash app? The Wowza Transcoder does not support this video codec. Do you have the option of setting this to H264 in your Flash app?

You can review the Wowza Transcoder user guide to see a list of other supported audio/video codecs.
