The size of each minute of recording

To whom it may concern;

I am trying to forecast the required disk space for recording channels, and in that context I need to know the estimated size of each minute of recording. Is it a fixed number or does it differ as per the quality (bitrate) ?

Please note that I am not looking for a diplomatic answer but rather real numbers I can rely on when calculating.

Hi,

The recording space required for a stream is based on the bitrate and how long the recording will be. As an example a 2Mbps stream will need 250kbytes per second of space ( 2000000/8 = 250k )
