Streaming VOD from protected Amazon S3 bckets

Hello,

I’m quite new to Wowza Streaming Engine and I’m testing different situations involving AWS EC2 and S3.

I uploaded my .mp4 file to my S3 bucket and configured my html page to use Wowza Player (trial license) and HLS protocol (not ABR)

If I set the .mp4 file permission to “Everyone Open/Download”, the video is correctly playing.

Then I tested removing the “Everyone Open/Download” permission.

As per your documentation () I entered the Wowza Engine Console. Under Server -> Media Cache I edited amazons3 source and filled in my AWS user Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.

The I saved the new configuration.

But unfortunatly now if I try to stream the same video, it gives me an error “media decode error”.

What am I missing?

Thanks a lo t,

Matt
