Streaming FLVs from s3 using the MediaCache

Hi,

I’m trying to upgrade our wowza server to 4.0 and port the streaming from s3 app.

I’ve set it up based on the tutorial

However, no matter what rtmp url I use it always tries to find an mp4 and fails (even though I specify flv: and the extension is flv)

What am I missing?

Trying to play this:

rtmp://ec2-54-91-137-32.compute-1.amazonaws.com:1935/bnowvods3/definst/flv:amazons3/younowvideos_dev/8c/b4/11_6011264_x264.flv

2014-07-15 08:35:09 EDT comment server WARN 200 - MediaCacheItemHTTPImpl.getItemInfo[younowvideos_dev.s3.amazonaws.com/8c/b4/11_6011264_x264.mp4]: HTTP response: 404

Thanks,

Jonathan

NVM - when changing to upper case FLV it worked.

Hi Jonathan,

I just tried to play that stream with VLC player and it played perfectly first time.

rtmp://ec2-54-91-137-32.compute-1.amazonaws.com:1935/bnowvods3/definst/flv:amazons3/younowvideos_dev/8c/b4/11_6011264_x264.flv

I see that the link provided is for a server running Wowza Streaming Engine 4.

Wowza Streaming Engine 4 Monthly Edition 4.0.0.00 build10425

What player are you using?

Jason
