streaming a remote mp4 file

Hello,

I have a lot of mp4 file need streaming by wowza,So I build a wowza streaming engine in Google compute engine.

Follow https://www.wowza.com/docs/set-up-wowza-streaming-engine-on-google-cloud-platform done and it look fine.

And I got a trouble about to get remote video file.

Below to description the problem.

1.I have a web server to provide a lot of mp4 file to download. I assume the web server address is 10.16.123.123.

So~~If you type http://10.16.123.123/videoFileName.mp4 on any web browser, you can get videoFileName.mp4.

2.I assume the wowza streaming engine in 10.10.10.10.

3.Now I hope use wowza streaming engine to streaming videoFileName.mp4 but I don’t want copy videoFileName from 10.16.123.123

to 10.10.10.10.

4.I set the validate Configuration to http://10.16.123.123/videoFileName.mp4 then press save

button. I try use application to display the cache source but it is fail. When I check media cache source configure the validate configuration

auto reset to default “http/mycompany.com/media/sample.mp4” and I use Trial license key.

5.Any way to complete I want???

Thank you.

Hi,

It sounds like you have already looked through our guide for MediaCache which is used to scale video on demand setups but if not, please take a look as this describes the steps that can be taken.

If you have read through the guide but still require assistance, I recommend opening a ticket which is done be sending an email to support@wowza.com.

Please include a ZIP file containing the following directories:

[Wowza-Install]/conf/

[Wowza-Install]/logs/

[Wowza-Install]/transcoder/

[Wowza-Install]/manager/logs/

Please make sure you provide logs which show Wowza server starting.

If you are not sure how to get this information please see the following tutorial.
