Stream target - Streaming 360 to Facebook Live

Hi

How can i setup a Stream target to restream a 360 spherical RTMP to Facebook Live.

Facebook Live API - Create supports 360 ingest:

is_sphericalboolean Flag that denotes the broadcast is a 360 live broadcast.

Is this something that is supported or upcoming ?

Hello,

With Wowza Engine you are only able to publish standard streams, not 360.

I have let our dev team know about your request to have this feature added to Wowza Engine.

Thanks Alex. This should be a very simple feature to add , only add one parameter :slight_smile:

Kristian, could you just send the standard stream to Facebook as is and when creating the publishing tools event just check the “this is 360” on Facebook’s side since the video itself is just standard HD. Has worked for me thus far in testing.

Yes, of course. But the point is using wowza as a re-streamer to Facebook. This helps our customers, regarding sending a 10-15 mbits stream to only one destination :slight_smile:
