Stream RTSP only when needed

I’m new to wowza and I’m wondering if we can only have the server pull the RTSP stream when someone is attempting to access the wowza stream on our website?

I ask because the cameras we have connected to wowza are running on 4G LTE cell data and I’m trying to limit the bandwidth.

We have cameras in the field on remote jobs sites. Those cameras are recording to a local NVR, but the client want to show those streams online to whomever wants to watch.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

The easiest way to do this is use StreamType “rtp-live”, however it can only work if your playback clients are only RTMP. If you have HTTP playback clients, this will will not work. There is not a way to do that in that case.
