Thanks for this. It does appear that there is an issue with the Manager validating the Content Directory path when expanding the ${com.wowza.wms.context.ApplicationInstance} variable. This will be highlighted to Engineering.

You probably are wanting to use {com.wowza.wms.context.Application} instead of {com.wowza.wms.context.ApplicationInstance}.
If you want to store your content in /home/media/vod for that application named “vod”. Then a user would use http://[wowza-ip]:[port]/vod/mycontent.mp4/playlist.m3u8 to play /home/media/vod/mycontent.mp4.
