Source stream or file could not be found or access was denied

Hello,

First time we touch Wowza and streaming.

We are working on a project where we stream form IP cameras (NVR).

We followed

https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-re-stream-video-from-an-ip-camera-rtsp-rtp-re-streaming

And we have seen the following message.

now the section after that which is “XML configuration” as we understood is not mandatory as per the following note: “Note: If you created your application by following the previous section, skip this section.”

Now when we run the test we get the error message:

“Source stream or file could not be found or access was denied”

What are we doing wrong?

We are running the stream server on VPS debian Wheezy.

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

If your IP camera requires a username and password you will need to include them in the playback URL. Like this:

rtsp://username:myPassword@[camera-address]
