Hello,
I have installed the Wowza Media Server on a PC I can see the demo samples which you have given, but when I am typing (http://localhost:1935/vod/mp4:sample.mp4/manifest.f4m) on a internet explorer or on a windows media player or on a VLC player it not showing, even I have tried with local remote PC its just showing me the xml format or in some case I am seeing only Wowza Media Server 2 Developer 2.2.3 build26454
So can you help me out with this? I just need to play the content using http://
In local remote PC
Warm Regards,
Niraj
Niraj,
You need a Flash application in the browser to play the manifest.f4m stream. You can use the Wowza OSMF example players or Adobe Strobe:
https://www.wowza.com/downloads/forums/OSMFPlayers/OSMFPlayers.zip
Flash Media Playback (easiest)
http://www.osmf.org/strobe_mediaplayback.html
https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-use-strobe-media-playback-with-a-wowza-media-server
Strobe
http://www.osmf.org/strobe_mediaplayback.html
Use RTSP in VLC:
rtsp://localhost:1935/vod/mp4:sample.mp4
For the above RTSP url to work in VLC without password challenge, change /conf/[app-name]/Application.xml /RTP /Authentication /PlayMethod from “digest” to “none”

Please don’t post duplicate questions, it can get very confusing
We are trying to stream content from WOWZA server to a digital Signage player which supports http streams from Windows Media Server.

We want to use WOWZA instead of Windows Server. Is this possible?
