RTSP question

Hi!

We have a default (development) installation of Wowza server. In one application there is a (mp4) playlist and this can be watched fine with Adobe Flash. I then downloaded Quick Time for Windows and tried this (live stream):

rtsp://[myIP]:1935/TestTV/TestStream2

The player connects, buffers and then shows only audio. After some time it also shows some default Q image and then it crashes.

QuickTime player is not supported to play this? Maybe something I need to configure with Wowza? The live application has all the streaming format support enabled and no changes were made to the config.

Thanks!

Atmapuri,

Unless you need Quicktime for Windows particularly, you might try VLC instead for RTSP playback on the desktop. It also plays HLS. The Windows version of Quicktime player has not been very active compared to Mac and iOS versions.
