RTMP restreaming and watching in media player

Hello i am new to wowza, i installed the software successfully and i have an rtmp live stream url like this

rtmp://website.com/live somestream.stream http://www.website/livecontent/up/jw…yer/player.swf http://www.website.com/mychannel/

i tested the stream in this [wowza-install-dir]/examples/LiveVideoStreaming/client/live.html and it is working fine.

How can i watch this in WMS? I believe WOWZA can converter rtmp to other format.

i really appreciate if you provide me some info and instructions.

By WMS do you mean Wowza Media Server?

Use cupertino streaming to playback in Roku. Add “cupertinostreamingpacketizer” to the /conf/[app-name]/Application.xml /LiveStreamPacketizers. The playback URL would look like

http://[wowza-address]:1935/[app-name]/myStream/playlist.m3u8

Take a look at the transcoding examples at the bottom of this article:

Replace the url of the source stream (an rtsp url in the first example) with the mms url.

I want to restream a rtmp live stream to mms to play stream in the Windows Media Player. Can you please tell me how to do that ?

I know Wowza wont support Windows Media Player streaming. Is there any encoding option avail ?

no i mean windows media player or some other player or watching on ps3.

i followed all the steps to restream rtmp to mpeg but how i can view the channel in roku box and what is the url for mpeg?

I search the forums and this topic seem to be close to what i need to archived, hope i didn’t violated any forum rules in the process.

I have the problem streaming links try to play it back using VLC in windows, but can’t quite get it.

I did look at couple of the tutorial and guides but still can’t get it to work yet. If anyone could point me to the right direction i would ready appreciated.
