RTMP redirect not working ( Wowza as client)

Hi.

I configure load balancer using Wowza server.

When I connect load balancer using flash player, no problem occurs.

But, I try to connect using wowza, it just connects to load balancer repeatedly, does not connects to redirected server.

[Real server for service] – [Load balancer(Wowza)] – [Remote service server(Wowza)]

Is there any method that wowza server can connect to redirected server?

In other words, can wowza server be configured as client for redirected streaming URL?

Hi Wowza Team,

We are having similar issues!

We were successfully using DevPay AMIs on AWS to send out low-latency streams to our flash player for worldwide viewing. The configuration we planned and executed was as follows:

Origin > Edge-Origin > Loadbalancer > Edges

Loadbalancer 3 zip was used on the AWS instances above and worked like a charm.

Recently, we setup the same infra on Microsoft Azure (windows VMs) with Loadbalancer 4.0 .zip files. However the loadbalancer redirects are not working in this case. We have tried using it the same way but the redirect just doesnt work.

All our streams are RTMP (no http). Flash player 9 (it supports rtmp redirect as tested from AWS VMs)

We are initially testing if the streams are reaching the edges from the loadbalancer, but they are not playing.

Any help is appreciated…

Rgds,
