Regarding Saving current Wowza configurations and/or Instance Configs

So I’ve spend a few weeks getting my instance up and running and fine tuning performance and streaming attributes as much as I can. I think I’ve tinkered with so many things that I am not sure that I could reproduce what I have done.

Is there a way to save a copy maybe of my instance or at least my specific wowza configurations so I have a map of what I had done just in case something terrible happens to the instance?

Any direction on where I can look would be helpful. I know of startup packages but not sure how I would create one after the fact. Or better yet if I could create a carbon copy of my current instance (complete with all wowza server settings) that I could somehow use to re-start an identical instance, that would be great.

Figured I’d ask…thanks.

Hello there.

This seems more like an server OS administration question. But you can take a look at the upgrade guide for a basic idea:

Upgrade Instructions (Backup server configuration, content, and custom files)

I hope this helps answer your question.

Kind regards,
